Publication: Negative magnetic sorting preserves the functionality of ex vivo cultivated non-adherent human monocytes

Monocytes from the peripheral blood play a crucial role in producing inflammatory mediators and regulating the innate and adaptive immune response. A CASY cell counter and analyzer was used in this investigation to assess cell size, number, and viability to dilute cells to the proper number for magnetic sorting. The investigators determined that this method of isolation was better approach for ex vivo modification of human monocytes.
