Publication: Poloxamer 338 Affects Cell Adhesion and Biofilm Formation in Escherichia coli: Potential Applications in the Management of Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections

In this investigation by Stirpe et al., the effects of Poloxamer 338 (P388) surface treatment on biofilm formation under shear flow were investigated using a BioFlux Shear Flow System. The group found that P388 treatment prevented the formation of Escherichia coli biofilms under simulated in vivo conditions.
